David Girard Vineyard, El Dorado AVA, CA

Tasting Notes

Enticing nose of violets and delicate jammed berries with a palate of earth and berries with a savory finish.

Winemakers Notes

The Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre vines live next to each other at the vineyard. I didn’t have the heart to separate them so I waited until I thought they would compliment each other and then called a pick date. These sister vines melded well together but took almost two years for it to happen! I wanted to try my hand in the classic Rhone blend and it came out better than I expected.
